Parent Handbook

We know sending your child to camp can be stressful. That's why we've made it as easy as possible for you. Find the forms you need, tips for helping your camper prepare for the overnight experience, and other information in the Parent Handbook

Thank you for sending your child to Camp Cherith of Western New York.

Send Mail to your Camper (USPS or Email)

Receiving letters while away at camp makes a child's day! Make sure you mail the letter on Monday or before they arrive at camp or they may not get it before they leave. Campers cannot call home or receive incoming phone calls, so mail is important to let them know you are thinking of them and want them to have a good time. (Please rest assured, if a child is severely struggling with homesickness or any other issue, we will reach out to you! Our camp staff has your child's best interest at the heart of all we do.) For tips on preparing your camper, check out the Parent Handbook.

Send snail mail to Camper's Name / c/o Camp Cherith of WNY / 9534 Short Tract Rd / Hunt, NY, 14846

We also partner with a company that makes it easy for you to send one way emails to your camper. Bunk1 is a secure email service that delivers notes from friends and family to your camper. Each day, the emails are printed in color and delivered. Decorate your letter with special themes, and/or photos. Write a letter today!

On check-in day, you will receive pre-approved registration code. Use this when prompted. New families will need to set up an account.

Health and Safety

Your child's health and safety are very important to us. We have an RN on site ready to assist your child's health needs 24/7. Many of our staff our hold CPR and first aid certifications. Make sure to fill out the camper health form and parent questionnaire found in the Parent Handbook so that we can meet any specific health or personal concerns you have.
