Think About

Servants of God, who have had the opportunity to serve at Camp Cherith of WNY, have the honor, and privilege of writing to you , even though we may be scattered about, in different villages, towns, counties, states, and maybe even countries, that we are united by our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.  This is similar to James’ opening in James 1:1 that says this:

James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ,

To the twelve tribes scattered among the nations:

Greetings.

Let us “marvel” in this day today that Scripture is still relevant, and speaking to us just as much in our day as it did in the days when James wrote this letter to the people who were scattered and dispersed around the area. How beautiful that the Holy Spirit is still alive and active, at work in our community where we may find ourselves. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

Just like in the game of Duck-Duck-Goose, each person has a specific role to play and when the goose is called, they spring to action! Be reminded that God calls us in, despite, and through our situations to share his truth actively. Marvel in His presence, His faithful promises and provision of the way of salvation, and share these gifts with those around you, wherever you may find yourself.

Talk About

  1. What truth did you need to be reminded of most?

  2. -You are valued

  3. -You are significant

  4. -You are made on and for a purpose.

  5. Why does this matter that we take action in sharing truths with others in our sphere of influence?

  6. How can you share a truth with someone in your life today? What is a practical step for you to take?
